Vanessa Zheng

Vanessa Zheng has worked in Marketing since 1995. She has extensive work experience and knowledge in marketing (both traditional and digital media), service marketing, strategic management both at academic and practitioner levels. Before setting up her own exporting company in China (1998) and run her importing and wholesaling business in the UK in 2000, Vanessa worked for several international businesses engaged in marketing and business development.

She has a BA (English and Intl trade Combined) and a MSc in E-commerce Technology and she is doing her PhD at the University of Surrey. Her PhD research looks at how businesses can deploy mobile technologies to add value and improve firm performance (e.g. Mobile marketing or mobile CRM). Before joining Cambridge Professional Academy, Vanessa lectured Marketing in Nottingham Business School and Lincoln Business School, she also has several years experience in helping students (BA, MA, MSC levels) to improve their academic writing, critical thinking and business research skills. As a practitioner in marketing, Vanessa continues working as a freelance market research analyst, strategic marketer and management consultant to help businesses effectively utilise resources, develop marketing and business strategy, and focus on improving business performance and profitability.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys exercising in the gym, exploring the beauty of Britain, writing romantic poems and business journals and attending business networking events and academic conferences. She is currently a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Academy of Marketing, and Institute of Business Consulting.
